Equality Florida is the largest civil rights organization dedicated to securing full equality for Florida's lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) residents.

We aim to provide social events that are relaxed and friendly, where you can meet new people and make new friends. We provide people with an alternative to the "commercial scene". People of all ages are welcome; our age group currently ranges from teenagers to guys in their sixties.

The Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) amplifies the voice of the LGBT community by empowering real people to share their stories, holding the media accountable for the words and images they present, and helping grassroots organizations communicate effectively.

The Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender National Hotline provides telephone and email peer-counseling, as well as factual information and local resources for cities and towns across the United States.

The Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network strives to assure that each member of every school community is valued and respected regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity/expression.

HeartStrong is a non sectarian organization established to provide outreach to gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and other persons adversely affected by the influence of all denominations of religious educational institutions.

The Human Rights Campaign represents a grassroots force of over 750,000 members and supporters nationwide. As the largest national lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender civil rights organization, HRC envisions an America where LGBT people are ensured of their basic equal rights, and can be open, honest and safe at home, at work and in the community.

PFLAG

Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays (PFLAG) is a national non-profit organization with over 200,000 members and supporters and over 500 affiliates in the United States.

A unity coalition of individuals and community organizations dedicated to the pursuit of equality and dignity for all LGBT Floridians. We stand united in this common purpose, and we encourage other likeminded people throughout Central Florida to join us.

The Safe Schools Coalition is an international public-private partnership in support of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender youth, that is working to help schools - at home and all over the world - become safe places where every family can belong, where every educator can teach, and where every child can learn, regardless of gender identity or sexual orientation.

Soulforce, guided by the spirit of truth and empowered by the principles of relentless nonviolent resistance, works to end the religious and political oppression of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and questioning people.

Straight for Equality is an outreach and education project that empowers straight people in supporting and advocating for gay, lesbian, bi, and transgender (GLBT) people.

The Straight Spouse Network (SSN) is an international organization that provides personal, confidential support, and information to heterosexual spouses/ partners, current or former, of gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgendered mates and mixed-orientation couples for constructively resolving coming-out problems.

Halt Hate Crime Organizations

To honor and remember LGBT victims of hate crimes.

This not-for-profit documentary, Accessory to Murder: Our Culture's Complicity in the Death of Ryan Skipper, explores the rampant homophobia which is present in our culture's institutions, from religion, education, law enforcement to politics.

The Unfinished Lives Project website is a place of public discourse which remembers and honors LGBT hate crime victims, while also revealing the reality of unseen violence perpetrated against people whose only “offense” is their sexual orientation.

The ACLU is our nation's guardian of liberty, working daily in courts, legislatures and communities to defend and preserve the individual rights and liberties that the Constitution and laws of the United States guarantee everyone in this country.

Faith In America was formed as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit educational organization in 2005 to effectively counter-message the bigotry, prejudice and hostility toward the LGBT community being sold to the public for several decades under the guise of religious belief and religious teaching.

Since its founding in 1968, MCC has been at the vanguard of civil and human rights movements by addressing important issues such as racism, sexism, homophobia, ageism, and other forms of oppression.

Gay Church is a web site dedicated to ministering to the gay and lesbian Christian community (GLBT) and friends of our community. We feature one of the largest gay and lesbian affirming Christian church directories and bulletin boards in the world.

Lakeland Youth Alliance

The LYA is a place where young GLBTQ and their straight allies can get together in a positive environment, become involved in the community, and forge new friendships with other teens encountering the same issues, feelings and problems.

Orlando Youth Alliance is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 1990. Their mission is to provide a safe space for GLBTQ youth in Central Florida.

The Trevor Project is determined to end suicide among LGBTQ youth by providing life-saving and life-affirming resources including our nationwide, 24/7 crisis intervention lifeline, digital community and advocacy/educational programs that create a safe, supportive and positive environment for everyone.

YES Institute provides education that gets at the source of why youth are harassed. Our mission is accomplished through powerful communication and education with people in all segments of the community--throughout the U.S. and Latin America.

Youth Guardian Services is a youth-run, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that provides support services on the Internet to gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgendered, questioning, and straight supportive youth. At this time the organization operates solely on private donations from individuals.
